New Foster Roxy

Roxy is my new foster!!! I picked her up yesterday from the rescue who had her.  She is an absolute sweetheart. She lived with kids, is fine with cats, and is fine with dogs as long as they aren't the white fluffy type.  She spent a lot of time outside at the last rescue, so I gave her a much-needed spa day yesterday: a long bath, got her looong nails cut, and lots of soft toys, and hugs and kisses of course.  She loves soft toys and stuffed animals! It is the cutest thing!  She is very affectionate. She wants you to pet her and give her belly rubs all the time.  It's almost like she needs to be touching you at all times.  She is really sweet.  She is fine being in her crate and was excited to jump around in it when she got here (I had it all set up for her with a dog bed and toys).  She slept in our room in a dog bed and woke me up at 5 am, tail wagging and excited to start the day! She was like "I'M HERE!! WAKE UP MA! !! LET'S GO PLAY!!"  What a wonderful way to start the day.  She has a little bit of skin irritation, needs work on her leash manners, and needs to get used to her surroundings (cars, bikes, noises).  Oh, and she is 26 lbs and doesn't want to (or know how to) go up or down stairs so I am getting a workout carrying her, but I think we will start practicing with her once she gets more settled.  Other than that she is pretty much perfect!
