New Foster Rocky V

What do you do when you hear about an elderly Boston in pain, alone and abandoned and frightened?  Here's what NEBTR did.

Our wonderful intake coordinator Jerrilyn received a message from a Massachusetts shelter.  A Senior Boston named Rocky had been turned over to them in very bad shape by his owner,  requiring immediate and costly medical care.

Not only was he obviously neglected, but he had run into a piece of fence in the yard and punctured his eye and the owner could not or would not afford care.

So they left him at the shelter. He would have to wait three days until the shelter medical staff could help him.
When Jerrilyn heard about Rocky's plight, she pictured this frail old man with severe eye trauma, in pain, sitting alone in the shelter for three days and nights.

She went right up and got him out of the shelter, and will bring him to NEBTR territory to get medical care and find a foster home for him.

We know you all would have done the same thing, and thank you in advance for helping us to get the care that he needs.
