Rory had cataract surgery a week ago and everything is going great. The
worst part of her recovery has been the 21 different items of care she
has needed daily, including 17 drops and 4 pills The drops always have
to be separated in time as well. My poor husband has had the brunt of
this round the clock care. At her last visit this regimen was cut down
a bit, eliminating 3 of the drops a day, but we'll take it! She shows
no signs of infection or increase in eye pressure, and can already see
out of that eye.
We have to keep her separate from Charles, which is a challenge in
itself, and she needs to wear a cone for 2 more weeks.
Many, many thanks to Jodi Groff for sending a cone cover for her. It has
made all the difference in her care. She is not uncomfortable, since
the cone is so soft around her face, and she does not mind it at all.
Rory will even come to us for her drops. They must make her eye feel
good. She is such a great patient!
I'm sending a recent picture of her in the yard, 10 days after surgery
You can see how well she looks You can see how great the cone cover
looks.
Thanks again, Jodi, from Rory and us!
Ellen
